7th Religion

In grade seven, students study Scripture & Christian Life, Sacraments & Worship, Morality & Social Justice, and Christian Faith & Practice from the perspective of the Catholic Church.  Topics include the Old and New Testaments, biblical literary forms, parables, the Seven Sacraments, prayers of the Church, Mass and prayer services, the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, personal choice, consequences, respect, prophets and saints, social sins, positive change, solidarity, Christian Service, the Trinity, the Body of Christ, the life of Jesus, Catholic Church history, Feasts and Seasons of the Church year, and Catholic tradition.
